25 Ways to stop the destroyer in his tracks

Everyday darkness seeks to overtake us.Use my 25 tips to keep your path and everything around you lit. More tips will follow as they are revealed to me. Stay Encouraged!

1) Count your blessings and stay in a state of gratitude.

2) Pray and ask The Source for what you need on a daily basis. Know that there's something bigger than you, that's ready and able to help you.

3) Pray for someone else to be healed.

4) Wave and smile at a stranger. Who cares if they return the favor?

5)Resist gossip and news that will hurt or destroy your neighbor, co-worker or classmate.

6)Do you have a hobby you could share? Buy the supplies needed to teach it and head on down to the woman's shelter.

7) Cook a meal, deliver it, and eat it with your elderly neighbor who's alone during the holidays. Be sincere and nine out of ten times, they'll enjoy your company.

8) Offer to read to a group of seniors at the nursing home. Also bring some pretty note cards so they can dictate letters to friends and loved ones.

9) During the winter months, carry a few pairs of gloves and give them out to the homeless living on the street. If you can afford it, include hats, socks and scarves.

10)Put on your favorite music and twirl and twist yourself into a frenzy! Love the day and be happy in it.

11) Order a bouquet of flowers and send them, with a love note, to yourself.

12) Watch cartoons with your favorite pre-schooler.

13) Treat your mailman (or other service worker) and his partner to the movies.

14) Take a bus ride to visit a museum in a city you've never visited.

15) Donate your old towels and linen to the animal shelter.

16) Take a walk, at noon, and watch the children at recess in the schoolyard.

17) Compliment the salesclerk on her hair, smile, etc. Make her day.

18) Make your favorite desert and take it down to the Veteran's Hospital. Treat the administrative and clerical staff.

19) Sell your household clutter on Ebay or have a garage sale and donate the proceeds to the P.T.A.

20) Cut up your favorite magazine and get out your glue. Make a collage titled, Inner Beauty.

21) Buy postage stamps and /or phone cards and donate them to our servicemen and women overseas.

22) Bring home and love a shelter pet.

23) Say "please" and "thank-you". Everyone loves to hear it.

24) Volunteer on a monthly basis at a privately-owned charity. Your help is always needed.

25) Buy a layette and bring it to the hospital nursery for a mother that's lacking for her newborn.
