1) It brings back memories of happier, less complicated times. Reminiscing about the goodness of the "wonder years",lends itself to feelings of serenity and gratitude!
2) Being able to reconnect says, WE MADE IT...many of us didn't! What is the similar thread that runs through our lives? Strength, tenacity, perseverance? I love the fact that there is a "sameness" that connects us.
3) Now that we are older and more mature, issues that stood in the way of developing a sincere friendship, are no longer present. We can come together and build up the old neighborhood, start businesses together...the possibilities are endless.
Reuniting with past classmates is something I'll continue to do, not looking to go back in time, but eager to bring a bit of the old, into the new!
